Dental Veneer
Veneers are increasingly popular for improving the appearance of stained or discolored teeth. They cover imperfections like minor cracks and can enhance small or crooked teeth without braces. Made from thin layers of porcelain or resin composite, dental veneers are permanently bonded to the teeth. Porcelain veneers are especially favored for their realistic look and better stain resistance than resin.
Veneers are not suitable for everyone and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. If you're interested in veneers, visit our office for an evaluation by our experienced dentist.
Simple Procedure, Immediate Results
To have veneers applied, you'll typically go through a process:
You'll consult with your dentist. Veneers are custom-designed to look as natural as possible, so your dentist may take impressions and/or X-rays to determine your veneers’ correct size and color.
Your dentist will prepare your teeth for veneers by removing a minimal amount of enamel, making an impression of the teeth, and sending that to a dental lab, where they will create your permanent veneers. You will be given some temporary veneers while the dental lab makes your permanent ones.
Once the lab sends back the veneers, your dentist will bond and cement them to your teeth. Your smile will be beautiful immediately.
